Enhancing the Sustainability of Data Centres – what can the Fit-for-55 Package do?

EPEE and SDIA will organise a joint event to showcase promising technologies and business models for sustainable data centre cooling and heat recovery and discuss how their uptake could be
encouraged by EU policies. Main messages of the event:
1) Cooling and heat recovery are a critical element of data center sustainability

2) The most promising way of sustainably cooling a DC and usefully recovering its waste heat is
through heat pumps

3) Innovative technologies and business models (such as Cooling-as-a-Service (CaaS)) are
increasingly being deployed

4) The EU regulatory framework (specifically the EED) can support these developments by
promoting the value of waste heat and putting forward the right sustainability indicators and
requirements

The event will take place on 22 February 2022 from 10.30 to 12.00. It will be held online. Join the discussion and register here.
