UNISTOCK Europe unanimously elected Frank Peeters as President during the UNISTOCK’s Annual General Assembly on the 1st July 2022
UNISTOCK Europe, the European association of professional portside storekeepers for agribulk commodities within the European Union, elected a new President and Vice-President during its General Assembly held last week in Santander, Spain. The new President Frank Peeters, Managing Director at Euro-Silo (Belgium) and the Vice-President Andrés Gómez Bueno, Director General of Groupe GoF (Spain), will serve a three-year term until June 2025.
After being elected, Frank Peeters emphasized that “UNISTOCK members - all professionally active in portside agribulk handling and storage - play an important role in the supply chain of the food and feed industry. Being part of the European Food Security and Crisis Mechanism, UNISTOCK will continue exchanging with the EU policy makers in shaping a more resilient EU food system. Strategic alignment with other agri-food and port operators’ associations will remain of utmost importance, especially in challenging times of increased uncertainty.”
The newly elected President highlighted that “In the post-Covid period, UNISTOCK will aim at restoring the value for its members through active networking, sharing experiences through site visits and actively exchanging know-how on innovative technologies that will help us meeting the challenges we face from climate change. The growth of UNISTOCK in terms of new members and through increased participation from key players in the portside agribulk handling and storage industry will be another focus area in the next few years.”
