Why: Several paths exist to achieve the EU's ambition of reducing the fishing sector’s contribution to greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2030, and reaching low carbon by 2050. Oceana’s findings of our new report “A pathway to decarbonise the EU fisheries sector by 2050” intend to feed into the European Commission's imminent strategy to accelerate the EU fisheries sector's energy transition.
